Meet The Hosts

Kat Koppett


Kat is the Eponymous Founder of Koppett, an organizational development consultancy that specializes in enhancing individual and group performance, and she is the Co-owner, director and a performer with The Mopco Improv Theatre. Kat is the author of “Training to Imagine: Practical Improvisational Theatre Techniques to Enhance Teamwork, Creativity, Leadership and Learning” and along with the members of Freestyle Repertory Theatre created the musical improv format “Spontaneous Broadway”. She has vociferously insisted on expanding her performance range by taking on new projects before she is feels at all confident she’s ready, saying yes way more often than feels wise, and assuming responsibility for an increasing number of other living things.

Alex Timmis


Alex Timmis is co-host and editor of the Dare to Be Human Podcast. Since discovering improv at SUNY Geneseo (Shout out to No Laugh Track Required!) he has been passionate about learning and mastering the art form. Alex works and performs at The Mopco Improv Theatre making things up with The Mop and Bucket Company, Alf Pacino and The Electric City Puppet Improvisers. He also brings improv off-stage and into your offices and creative spaces with Koppett. Alex loves so-bad-they’re-good movies and will happily coerce you into a viewing of The Room or Double Down if given half a chance. He lives in Troy, NY with his amazing girlfriend and their two food weasels (cats).
